Director’s Statement
People usually judge movies by entertaining factors. It is not much different from recent independent films or award winning films praised based on their visual style and relatively simple message (moral, political, social, cultural, historical or religious.) If filmmaker could explain his/her film with a few words, what is the point of making a film? The life and people are way more complex. The starting point of my filmmaking is not about what I know or what I’m trying to tell people… but more about what I don’t know… (and also you may not know.) My film is the endless and sincere contemplation about life and people. My little hope is that people could feel the cinema as if they do fine art piece at the museum, despite of unbalanced recent film world.
